Single-axle telescopic dump
Current 6,000 lb GVWR entry point for residential, property and lighter hauling needs.
Choose a dump trailer by loaded material weight, actual payload, body design, hoist and daily use—not box size alone.
GVWR is the maximum allowable loaded trailer weight. The cargo you can carry is lower because the trailer itself—and every installed option—has weight.
Current 6,000 lb GVWR entry point for residential, property and lighter hauling needs.
Current 7,000 lb GVWR model for landscaping, property maintenance and light hauling.
Current 9,890 lb GVWR step-up when more payload and commercial versatility are required.
Heavy-duty bumper-pull and gooseneck configurations with a lower body than deck-over designs.
Full-width dump body without fenders inside the loading area, useful for side access and wider loads.
Commercial gooseneck dump at the high end of the current lineup, published up to 30,000 lb GVWR.
Current Diamond C listings publish dump configurations from 6,000 through 30,000 lb GVWR. Exact ratings, dimensions, empty weight and options vary by model and build.
| Decision | What to evaluate | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Low profile or deck-over | Loading height, body width, fenders and side access. | Low profile can be easier to load over the side; deck-over provides full body width. |
| Bumper-pull or gooseneck | Truck hitch, available payload, turning space and normal routes. | The connection changes truck requirements and handling characteristics. |
| Side height | Light debris volume versus dense material weight. | Taller sides add volume and weight but do not increase rated payload. |
| Telescopic hoist | Lift geometry, service access, power system and load placement. | Diamond C uses telescopic cylinders on several current dump families for direct front-of-body lifting. |
| Gate and ramps | Spreading, dumping, equipment loading and ramp storage. | A dump trailer can serve double duty only when the body, gate and ramps fit the machine. |
| Tarp system | Material type, loading height and frequency of use. | Containment supports safer transport; manual and powered convenience should match daily use. |

Estimate real load weights or provide bucket size and material information.
Provide year, model, configuration, hitch type and published ratings.
Note loader bucket width, side-loading needs and potential top-rail contact.
If carrying machinery, provide its weight, width, wheelbase and clearance.
Out-of-area buyers should identify the trailer stock number and delivery ZIP code.
Match body construction to loading abuse and material. Heavier steel increases durability but also changes empty weight and payload.
Board brackets or protective solutions can reduce bucket damage when material is loaded over the side.
Hydraulic performance depends on battery condition, wiring, charging habits and cycle frequency. High-cycle users should discuss power options.
When equipment ramps are used, stabilizer setup and level ground help control trailer movement during loading.
Equipment carried inside a dump body still requires suitable securement. Confirm D-ring placement and working-load limits.
Inspect grease points, hydraulic components, wiring, hinges, gate latches and tire access before buying.
Feature descriptions were checked against Diamond C’s official 2026 Dump Trailer Buyer’s Guide and current lineup. Confirm all standard and optional equipment on the specific trailer build.
It depends on the trailer’s actual payload and the gravel’s weight, not simply body dimensions. Obtain a material-weight estimate and stay within every trailer and tow-vehicle limit.
They add volume for lighter debris, but also add trailer weight and can encourage overloading with dense material. Choose side height around the material mix.
Potentially, if payload, floor, ramps, gate opening, clearance and securement all fit the exact machine. Do not assume equipment capability from GVWR alone.
Delivery quotes may be available. Choose an in-stock unit and submit its stock number with the destination through the shipping-quote form.
