For the utility trailer traditionalist that is seeking a combination of lightweight towing with little ramp gate wind drag and an all-aluminum structure to deter corrosion. Let us introduce you to the Legend model utility gate or UG currently available in 7×12 and 7×14 single axle sizes. The legend UG checks all the boxes for light duty usages surrounding all of your outdoor recreational activities.
Built on a nearly identical chassis as our utility tilt model TU. The UG comes standard with a 2-inch straight coupler on the 3×6 fluted center spar of our triple tongue design a two thousand pound setback jack with attached foot or sand pad mounts into our fabricated jack box allowing full tailgate function of the tow vehicle. The upper deck is surrounded by extruded F channel that seats aluminum plank flooring running across the width of the trailer and boasts four standard stake pockets plus four two hole tie downs for a wide range of cargo securing options the perimeter of the trailer deck uses lower profile one and a half inch tubing top rail sitting just over seven inches from the floor to keep your belongings inside the trailer without adding unneeded height that often blocks UTV doors.
The legend UG comes standard with a single 3,500 pound Dexter torsion idler axle and 205/75/R15
nitrogen filled radial tires on your choice of gunmetal gray or black aluminum wheels. This unit has our optional spare mount
and spare tire like all legend trailers the units are outfitted with all led lighting and standard ATP fenders.
At the rear we find the standard bi-fold tailgate with textured aluminum treads for consistent traction. The bi-fold nature of the gate reduces wind drag when towing in an up position the gate may also be folded into the interior of the trailer or even easily removed if you happen to be hauling the trailer empty or with cargo that is a bit too long for the deck. As a customer it is good to know that spending a few more dollars up front to go with an all-aluminum legend trailer will ensure them a total cost of ownership will be below a steel utility trailer over the long haul.
